1. Personal data we collect

Enquiries through our contact forms

Your name, email address, phone number, company or institution, the type of enquiry and your message.

Job and internship applications

Your name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn or portfolio link, your CV (PDF or Word), your cover note, the role you applied for and your IP address (used to prevent spam and abuse).

Newsletter

Your email address and the time and a shortened form of the IP address from which you subscribed and confirmed, kept as a record of your consent. We only send the newsletter after you confirm your subscription by email.

Training programs and courses

Details you give when you enquire or enrol, such as your name, contact details, education and the program you choose.

Website usage

When you browse bigxstar.com we record the pages you visit, the site that referred you, campaign tags in the link, approximate location (country, region, city), device type, browser, operating system and IP address. We use a first-party cookie called visitor_id to recognise repeat visits, and Google Analytics. See our Cookie Policy.

Accounts you connect to our applications

Some of our applications let you connect a third-party account, such as Instagram or LinkedIn, using that platform's own login. We never see or store your passwords for those platforms. With your permission we receive your account identifier, name or username, profile picture, the pages or accounts you manage, content you choose to publish through us, and statistics about that content. We use this only to provide the features you asked for.

2. How we use personal data

• To reply to enquiries and route them to the right team.
• To assess job and internship applications and contact candidates.
• To deliver training programs, courses, workshops and certificates.
• To provide and support our software products.
• To send the newsletter, only if you subscribed and confirmed. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To understand how the website is used and improve it.
• To keep our services secure and prevent spam, fraud and abuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal data. Data received from social media platforms is not used for advertising, lead generation or recruiting, and is not combined with other data to build profiles.

3. Legal basis

We process personal data with your consent (given when you submit a form, subscribe or connect an account) and for legitimate uses allowed by the DPDP Act, such as complying with the law and keeping our services secure. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing done before you withdrew it.

4. Who we share it with

• Service providers working for us under confidentiality obligations: website and database hosting, email delivery, and Google Analytics.
• Social media platforms (such as Meta and LinkedIn), when you ask us to publish content to an account you connected.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of BIGXSTAR, our users or others.
• A buyer or successor, if our business is merged or sold, under this same policy.

6. Security

Data is sent over HTTPS. Admin access is protected by login, rate limiting and session controls; access keys for connected accounts are encrypted. Only staff who need data for their work can see it. No system is perfectly secure; if a personal data breach occurs we will inform affected people and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

• get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct, complete or update it;
• have it erased;
• withdraw your consent;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to; and
• have your grievances addressed.

8. Children

Our website and software are meant for adults. For programs for school students, such as summer camps, we collect personal data of children only with verifiable consent from a parent or guardian, and we do not track or target advertising at children.

9. Changes to this policy

We will post any update on this page with a new date. For significant changes we will also tell account holders directly.
